Scott Pye
Scott left the corporate world to pursue his passion for teaching golf full time in 2000.
He is currently working towards full CPGA status.
Scott discovered his love of teaching first as a professional ski instructor (CSIA) and a
certified race coach (CSCF) in 1993. Still active in the ski industry, he runs programs training
new instructors and helping certified instructors improve their skiing and teaching skills.
Scotts teaching philosophy is based on “Student Centered Learning”. The aim is to provide programs
that fit the student’s goals, Skill level, and style of learning, rather than having the students
adapt to the program. Scott’s favorite quote is "If a student isn’t learning, the teacher isn’t
teaching."
Scott teaches the golf swing based on sound fundamentals including the grip, stance, alignment & posture.
If these are incorrect it makes it very hard for the body to move correctly to create effortless
power, the swing becomes a series of compensations leading to inconsistency and frustration.
